If new members need a copy sent to you, please email the president or trails director.  Most trails are on private property and one unmaintained roads location.

Brookridge – Sunday April 7.  This private property located near Gardner, MA is owned by the Northeast Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc. The property features a Multi-Loop Trail System of Blue and Black Trails with lots of rocks and trees. Look before you leap to avoid the stumps!  The club collects donations to forward to the association that help pay for taxes and maintenance on this fantastic wheeling property.

Earth Day Event – Sunday Apr 28.  We will continue our clean up work in Adams, MA, focusing on tires, appliances and furniture behind the guard rail.  We will continue to partner with other organizations, such as TREAD Lightly!  THE WORK MAY BE JUST AN INVENTORY OF THE ACTUAL TIRES, after a fun trail ride and followed by a fun trail ride.

NEA4WD Meeting Saturday May 4 – Hemond’s Off-Road Park in Minot, Maine. More details about 4×4 use at the park may be found here:  https://www.hemondsmx.com/ These meetings are scheduled for 10am to 2pm with a lunch break.  Often, the meetings end early.  Following the meeting, we will be wheeling the wooded 4×4 trails on the park property.  Hosted by Maine 4×4.

M4X4A Granite State Rally Fri June 28 – Sun June 30.  This new event has been born from last year’s NH DETOUR we did on Labor Day Weekend.  We will be camping in a safari field at a very nice campground.  Friday night we will be using local Class VI roads.  We will have a challenging, overlanding Class VI Trip on Saturday. This trip will include a considerable route of paved roads, there and back.  There is no trailer parking because it is a loop. On Sunday we will hit our nearby Pennywise property for a fun day of wheeling.

July 20, Saturday – Work and Wheel at The Homestead. This member owned Private Property in Hebron, NH is a fantastic property that has awesome 4WD terrain, rich historical significance and fantastic accommodations for camping.  Wheeling here is similar to driving on the moon if it had trees – most of the trails are on solid rock and the potential to develop trails on the property is FANTASTIC. With a couple days of trail work, we can have a very intense days of rock crawling suitable for 33s and a locker or winch or any stock Rubicon or Bronco on 35s.  Camping is allowed on the property to help with the commute – and the camping amenities are awesome, too! There’s a fantastic area to gather, cook and enjoy the evening.  There’s also some very popular sightseeing opportunities and tourism stops!

NEA4WD Meeting Aug 10 – The meeting time is genrally 10am until 2pm with a lunch around noon. Jericho Mountain State Park 4WD Trails after the meeting.  These trails range from challenging to very challenging with ratings from Blue to Black, possibly with Red obstacles.  (Based on what I have read, I have not been there ~ MW) Hosted by Northwoods Off-Road.

August 18, Sunday – NH Class VI roads near Claremont, NH. Lots of rock, lots of mud. These trails are rated by our club as Blue/Black – we want to see 33s, one locking differential and a winch as minimum equipment. Longer wheelbase vehicles should probably have 35 inch tires.

M4X4AVTXPDIX – Aug 30 to Sept 2 – The Mohawk 4×4 Adventures Vermont Expedition #9. This annual Labor Day Weekend event includes 3 nights of camping, 4 days of wheeling and 6 different rides at a minimum. It is the best value out there for a group expedition.  We are able to bring our club trailer, a bear safe food locker, with equipment and volunteers to provide 3 meals. Saturday breakfast and Sunday breakfast.  Goodman’s American Pie Wood-Fired Pizza, from a fully equipped antique truck built for adventures like ours will be there Saturday night.

The NEA4WD Fall Crawl Friday Sept 6 – Sunday Sept 8. This annual event has raised thousands of dollars upon thousands of dollars that supports the NEA4WD and our collective Land Fund. The evewnt is based out of Field and Forest Recreation Area in Harrisville, NH.  One of the most difficult wheeling locations in New England and a great camping facility. The trail choices sprawl across New England based out of one central HQ. All participants must check in at HQ.

Saturday, September 21 – Work and Wheel at The Homestead. Friday – Sunday Oct 11 – 13 – Trails From The Crypt at Pennywise (Pennywise is a premiere trail system maintained by this club, for this club in the Loudon, NH area.) This spooktacular event has us surrounded by ghosts while we camp on site with the werewolves and spiders and owls – oh my!  We open up the haunted cabin for this event where there’s several bunks, a wood stove for keeping the witch’s brew boiling. And bats.  We are able to do local Class VI escapes so we don’t end up IN the witch’s brew, long distant trips to escape the screaming of the lost souls and wheeling on the property to mingle with the vampires.  Decorated rigs and costumes are encouraged!  More information and questionaires will be sent to members.

NEA4WD Meeting Saturday Nov 2. The Private Property is called, Chutes and Ladders and is in RI, hosted by Ocean State Jeepers.  The trails are very challenging and one should be ready for Black and Red Trails.

The Mohawk Trail Challenge – A Benefit for the Food Bank of Western Mass.  Mohawk 4×4 Adventures’ members donated enough funding for 33,586 meals in the last 4 years.  Our goal for 2024 is to raise enough money for 10,000 meals.

  • November 30, Saturday – Mohawk Trail Challenge Stage 1. This event is a club favorite, we hit a LONG route of off-road driving throughout Western, MA, eventually circling back to the starting point. When there is enough interest, we can split into two groups and alter the difficulty.
  • December 29, Sunday – Mohawk Trail Challenge Stage 2.  This event is usually very popular and is on private property.  The trail difficulty is not as hard as stage 1 and runs from 9 a.m. until around 3 p.m.

  • There will be space for non-members that will need to meet the club rig and safety requirements.
  • There will be a simple donation button on the website again this year and we plan to set up some collection boxes.
  • 100% of all proceeds are donated.
